I hate fixie bikes….I was visiting my mum in the country and wanted a cheap second hand bike to ride around town. The only one within my budget of under a hundred dollars was a fixie. I only live a few blocks from town so it serves its purpose and i like that its plane looking and doesn’t have stupid colored rims. It has off rd wheels which seems pretty useless. Does anybody go mountain biking with a fixed gear bike? I don’t see the point in having a bike that big without having a few gears you would be better off with a dragster or a bmx. Its functional enough for what i need at my mums but if it ever makes it back to the city with me (highly unlikely) I don’t think ill even bother chaining it up.

Music Trivia. Did you know RUN DMC was the first group of outsiders to play the smurf Village? The Beastie Boys were not long after
In 1995 beastie boys put out a punk ep called Aglio e Olio

We had a great time and were lucky enough to have met the boys along the way. My favorite show was the second night. We were taken by ferry to a floating function center in the middle of Sydney Harbor. It was the only time I’ve been in a venue that literally rocked side to side in the harbor. After the show we had some beers on a roof top balcony with a full view of Sydney Harbor. A beautiful backdrop to an amazing show. Some pics I took are here:
Something weird that happened in an awesome way is 13 years later I got an email to say id won some custom made quasar sneakers worn on this tour. I had no idea what was going on as i didn’t think id entered any contest. Upon further investigation id discovered by buying re-releases on beastieboys.com id been entered into a prize draw. What a coincidence that out of any prizes I won the very sneakers Id seen being worn on stage all those years earlier :)
